Call for Papers & Articles
The Africa Economic, Security, and Sustainability Council (AESC) invites scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to submit papers or articles for consideration.
We are particularly interested in contributions that address the following themes:
- Economic Development and Integration: Papers could explore topics such as trade agreements, economic policy, regional integration, financial markets, investment trends, and the impact of global economic shifts on African economies.
- Security Challenges and Solutions: Submissions may focus on issues like conflict resolution, peacekeeping, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, maritime security, and the role of regional and international partnerships in addressing security threats.
- Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: We encourage papers that examine sustainable development practices, climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy initiatives, natural resource management, and environmental policy and governance.
- Innovation and Technology: Contributions can discuss the role of technology and innovation in driving economic growth, enhancing security, and promoting sustainable development across the continent.
- Governance: Papers may analyze the state of governance, the challenges and opportunities for democratic development, human rights issues, and the role of civil society and media in shaping the political landscape.
Submission Guidelines:
- Papers should be original, evidence-based, and provide in-depth analysis of the aforementioned issues.
- Submissions should preferably be written in English and should not exceed 10,000 words, including abstract, references, and footnotes.
- Authors should include a brief biography.
- Papers must adhere to academic standards, with proper citation and referencing.
Evaluation Process:
- All submissions will be reviewed.
- Papers will be evaluated based on their originality, methodological rigor, and contribution to knowledge and policy discussions.

- Papers should be sent as a Word document to ceo@ae-sc.org
- Papers and articles are always welcome [we have no deadlines].
Selected papers will be published on the AESC website and may be presented at council events to foster international exchange and partnerships.
